Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer
 
TMT (Part of Sapura Energy Well Services) are looking for dedicated, creative locally-based people who want to thrive in the growing field of Light Well Intervention. Work involves engineering, customising and preparing our field proven Light Well Intervention spread for various campaigns, and then going offshore to manage and operate the equipment.

 

We need primarily Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineers, but also Subsea Supervisors and Technicians with experience in:

  • Subsea Riserless Light Well Intervention
  • Subsea IWOCS, XT or BOP (electro) hydraulic controls
  • Offshore E-Line and Slickline operations
  • Subsea completions and workovers

 

Engineering Capability & Experience:

  • Degree plus 5 - 10 years relevant experience
  • SolidWorks modelling and draughting
  • Stress analysis
  • Materials selection
  • Subsea Applications and tooling design
  • Writing reports, work instructions, procedures, manuals etc.
  • Familiar with API, DNV & other standards related to the Oil & Gas industry
  • Managing work packages from design through to Factory Acceptance Testing

2nd/3rd Year Apprentice - Machinist
TMT has an opportunity to join our team as a Fitter/Machinist Apprentice.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Aged 16 years or over (mature age apprentice candidates will also be considered)
  • Must have completed at least 12 months of an existing fitter/machinist apprenticeship
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Must be able to attend TAFE on a part-time basis
  • Capable of working overtime as necessary
  • Positive attitude towards training and work, and commitment to complete apprenticeship
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication and team work skills
  • Committed to safe work practices

 

This position is not currently available to applicants requiring to complete the full four year apprenticeship. Those applicants who have less than two years of a fitter/machinist apprenticeship remaining would be highly regarded.

Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing desktop support
  • Providing remote and offshore desktop support
  • Providing technical advice for operational projects
  • Liaising with external contractors or employees that require IT assistance when installing equipment/software for TMT
  • Administering PBX system and users
  • Administering SharePoint Document Control System
  • Administering Windows Servers
  • Monitoring server-side processes such as utilisation, bandwidth and backup procedures
  • Maintaining computer hardware assets
  • Ensuring data backups are available for restore
  • Purchasing IT equipment

Essential Skills & Experience:

Apprentice (Electronic Technician)

We have an opportunity to join our team in the role of Apprentice (Electronic Technician) to work on current and the next generation of 6000 meter depth capable ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles) and subsea tooling.
 
The role is a 4 year apprenticeship.
 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A commitment to work safely and working within your limits
  • Completion of Year 12 VET or Science based study
  • A strong interest in electronics with experience in Arduine/Raspberry Pi or similar

Software Developer

  • At least 3 years professional experience developing software using Delphi or Python

  • Experience in developing and executing test plans and procedures for testing embedded systems and software to ensure quality and reliability
  • Experience in using revision and configuration control systems

  • Completing product flyers and other publishing material and content 
  • Developing training material based on manuals and operating procedures 
  • Reviewing published material and recommending revision or changes to the scope, format, content or methods of production 
  • Management of all promotional material 
  • Researching, writing and publishing corporate communications on a regular basis

What you will bring: 

  • Proven record (5 years minimum) of experience as a Technical Author/Writer 
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field

  • Selection and/or design of hydraulics components 
  • Pressure vessel calculations (internal or external, static, dynamic, fatigue), FEA or hand calculations 
  • Drafting of assemblies 
  • Drawing of hydraulic schematics 
  • Detailed design of subsea tooling hydraulics and/or ROV, LWI related hydraulic systems 
  • Writing work instructions and procedures and liaising with technical writer 
  • Reporting to project lead, liaising with peer engineers in design 
  • Occasional offshore work 
 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering discipline 
  • 3+ years of hydraulics design experience 
  • The ‘spark’ of creativity coupled with resourcefulness 
  • Solid understanding of GD&T 
  • High attention to details and understanding how system components interface and interact 
  • Proficient user of 3D CAD package(s), ideally SolidWorks 
  • Proficient user of 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD/HyDraw 
  • Understanding and solid knowledge of BPVCs such as ASME Section VIII including stress linearization 
  • Awareness of AS, DNV, API and ISO drawing standards 
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at a time

  • Ideally subsea design experience is preferred
